At the Arthritis Treatment Center, we have put together a team of professionals who are wholly dedicated to the specialized care of musculoskeletal problems, Rheumatic diseases, and metabolic bone disease.
We work together, sharing information, perspectives and problem-solving approaches to develop a treatment plan which meets both your medical and lifestyle needs.
Our office is located in a modern, well-equipped facility in Springfield’s medical park on Main Street.

Donald R. Griger M.D., F.A.C.R.

Dr. Griger received his medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School in 1992. He was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society in addition to being awarded an Air Force Health Professions Scholarship. He completed his fellowship training at Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas. A rheumatologist at the Arthritis Treatment Center since 2000, Dr. Griger’s previous practice experience includes Chief of Rheumatology at David Grant Medical Center, Travis AFB, California. Dr. Griger is board certified in rheumatology and is a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology.

Scott M. Halista M.D., F.A.C.R., F.A.C.P.

Dr. Halista received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, PA in 1982. He completed his fellowship training in Rheumatology at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., while serving on Active Duty with the U.S. Air Force. A rheumatologist at the Arthritis Treatment Center since 1992, Dr. Halista’s previous practice experience includes as a member of the teaching faculty for the U.S. Air Force Rheumatology Fellowship Program at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center, Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas. He served as Division Chief in Rheumatology for the resident training program at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, MA (a University of Massachusetts Medical School Affiliate) from 2007 – 2020. Dr. Halista has served as Chairperson for the Springfield Arthritis Foundation fundraising walk, community educational outreach programs at the Springfield Jewish Community Center and the Arthritis Treatment Center. Dr. Halista has presented numerous Medical Grand Round presentations at the Baystate Medical Center and nearby Community Hospitals.

Dilpreet K. Singh M.D., F.A.C.R.

Dr. Singh received her medical degree from the University of Dublin, Trinity College, Ireland in 2013. She completed her fellowship training in Rheumatology at Case Western Reserve University at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, OH. A rheumatologist at the Arthritis Treatment Center since 2018. Dr. Singh is a board certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. Dr. Singh is a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology. Dr. Singh has presented at numerous regional and national meetings. Dr. Singh has held the position of Clinical Instructor of Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Singh has experience with musculoskeletal ultrasonography.

C. Bruce Tallman, Jr M.D., F.A.C.R.

Dr. Tallman received his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine in 1989. He completed his fellowship training in rheumatology at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. A rheumatologist at the Arthritis Treatment Center since 1994, Dr. Tallman is board certified in Rheumatology, a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology and held the position of senior clinical instructor of medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine.

Antonio Valentin M.D., F.A.C.R.

Dr. Valentin received his medical degree from New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY in 2001. He completed residency in Internal Medicine at Stony Brook Medical Center, Stony Brook, NY in 2005. He started his practice at the Arthritis Treatment Center shortly after completing his fellowship training in rheumatology at the University of Connecticut Medical Center, Farmington, CT in 2007. Dr. Valentin is a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology since 2008. Dr. Valentin has held the position of Senior Clinical Instructor of Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine.
